Argumentative and Dialogic Lesson Plan
This is an argumentative and dialogic 20-minute lesson plan that revolves around students taking a stance on the presence and integration of alternative energies against other students with opposite beliefs.. It will involve students reading through a fact sheet of environmental pros and cons of integrating different types of alternative energies and creating a list of pros and cons for each while developing a law-style argument to present against another argument within the class. As a future teacher, I want my students to be able to work together as a small and large groups to develop both sides of an argument and defend themselves in dialogue with their peers to advance their arguments. Based on this fact sheet I compiled and this graphic organizer.
